Overview:


At PaulSam Geo Engineering Co Ltd Consultants, we are proud to be part of the transformative SGR Project, aiming to construct a modern standard gauge railway line along the Tabora-Kigoma route in western Tanzania. Our mission is to enhance transportation connectivity, spur regional development, and ensure the efficient movement of goods and passengers.

Key Objectives:

​

  • Construction of new railway tracks, signaling systems, stations, and related infrastructure to meet standard gauge railway standards.

  • Improve efficiency, capacity, and reliability of the railway line.

  • Facilitate the smooth and effective transportation of goods and passengers.

Project Scope:
Our dedicated team is overseeing SGR Lot 6, which spans from Tabora to Kigoma Regions, covering a total distance of 411 kilometers. This route passes through various districts, including Uyui, Tabora urban, Urambo, Kaliua, Kigoma rural, and ultimately concludes at Kigoma Urban.

Project Phases:

  • Site reconnaissance, observation, inspection, and assessment of existing site conditions.

  • Establishing environmental, social-economic, and cultural baseline conditions.

  • Engaging in stakeholder consultations to ensure community involvement.

  • Sampling and analyzing monitoring parameters for comprehensive assessment.

  • Identifying potential environmental, social-economic, and cultural impacts resulting from the project and proposing effective mitigation measures.

  • Preparing a management and monitoring plan to implement these mitigation and enhancement measures.

  • Compiling an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) report and submitting it to the appropriate authorities.
