ESIA for Gena and Gokona Pits Expansion at North Mara Gold Mine

Project Overview:
PaulSam Geo Engineering Co Ltd Consultants, we are proud to have undertaken the vital Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) process for the proposed expansions of Gena and Gokona Pits at the North Mara Gold Mine (NMGM). This project is located in the scenic Tarime District of the Mara Region, Tanzania.

Key Objectives:

• Conduct site reconnaissance, observation, inspection, and assessment to understand the existing conditions.

• Establish baseline data for environmental, social-economic, and cultural factors, including air quality, water quality, and soil analysis.

• Identify stakeholders and engage in meaningful consultations to ensure community involvement.

• Sample and analyze monitoring parameters for a comprehensive assessment.

• Assess potential environmental, social-economic, and cultural impacts stemming from the project and propose effective mitigation measures.

• Develop a management and monitoring plan to implement these mitigation and enhancement measures.

• Compile a detailed Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) report and submit it to the appropriate regulatory bodies.

• This ESIA process was conducted in relation to the planned expansions of Gena and Gokona Pits at the North Mara Gold Mine, which plays a significant role in the region's economy and employment.
